As we mentioned in our last post, Scotland has a lot to offer, especially during the summer, whether it’s in terms of fauna and flora, history, or beautiful landscapes waiting to be explored. This summer, there are many walking festivals to choose from, as well as Highland Games and other fun activities to take part in with family and friends. 1. Walking Festivals

Scotland is home to plenty of walking festivals and marathons during the summer, including the Glasgow to Edinburgh Trek, Dundee Kiltwalk, and the Walk For Parkinson’s at Loch Leven. Many of these walks are for a great cause, and they will also allow you to stay fit while experiencing the stunning Scottish scenery!

2. Highland Games

Highland Games are a great opportunity to enjoy a fun family day out and learn more about Scotland’s cultural and historical heritage. The Highlands Games season runs from May until September. If you will be in Scotland in July, you could attend the Inverness Highland Games, the Inveraray Highland Games, or many of the various other games organised throughout the Highlands.

3. Arts and Culture Summer Festival Scotland
