Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival – Speyside Way

The 18th Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival takes place this week! It is a 5-day event, taking place from the 27th of April to the 1st of May. Are you walking the Speyside Way? This is the perfect opportunity to see some traditional Scottish charm.

You don’t have to be a whisky lover! With a programme of over 500 events, there is bound to be something of interest to you. From whisky tours and tastings, to music performances, arts, crafts and outdoor activities, if you are in the Speyside area, what are you waiting for?

How do I get there?

Reaching Speyside, you can take the train, bus, aeroplane or car. The area is very well connected, as it is near Inverness. The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival welcomes masses of international visitors each year, bringing a unique festival atmosphere to the area!

Beltane Celebration – Rob Roy Way

On Sunday the 30th of April, the Scottish Crannog Centre is hosting the Beltane Celebration. One of the most important dates in the Celtic calendar, experience a day of storytelling, ceremonial fire and demonstrations! A perfect event to stop by if you are walking the Rob Roy Way!

Where is The Scottish Crannog Centre?

Located on Loch Tay, between the Aberfeldy and Ardtalnaig leg of the Rob Roy Way, the Scottish Crannog Centre is a magical setting!

What is Beltane?

Beltane marks the time in which livestock are put out to pasture – to graze on the land. To protect the animals, people would perform rituals, lighting bonfires and preparing feasts. This is a very special day, join the celebration and experience an ancient Celtic tradition.
