Glengoyne Distillery
Nearer the beginning of the route, on the leg from Milngavie to Drymen is where you will come across Glengoyne Distillery! A great place to stop at for some lunch, a look around or even a break before the rest of your journey. The distillery is surrounded by the beautiful hills of West of Scotland, lush greenery and is on a bus route from Glasgow if you should be planning a separate trip! Glencoe
The route of the West Highland Way does pass through part of Glencoe, and it is an area of the Scottish Highlands you need to visit and spend some time in! It is located near Kinlochleven which is one of the last legs of the route, it would be a good idea to incorporate a trip to the Glencoe Visitor Centre, which has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. In the Scottish summer, there is nothing better than to experience the beauty and atmosphere of Glencoe. Though it is slightly outwith the West Highland Way route, it is definitely worth a trip!
