Old Byre Showroom
If you are interested in authentic, original knitwear, sheepskin and leather products, then you must pay a visit to the Old Byre Showroom. Specialising in these products, they have two shops on Arran. One in Machrie, on the west side of the island and then one in the main town of Brodick. With so many skilled pieces, there is something for everyone.
Arran Art Gallery
Arran is a popular place for artists to be inspired, that is why the island is home to so many talents. The Arran Art Gallery holds the largest amount of art on the island, from the different artists, and is one of the largest galleries in Scotland. The gallery is located in Whiting Bay. There are many different types of art to be admired at this gallery, from ceramics to jewellery to glasswork the range is incredible. Arran in Focus
If you are interested in photography, Arran in Focus offers courses, tours for beginners and for more advanced photographers. Whether you use of a compact camera or a digital SLR, there is no need to be an expert. It is located in Lamlash, on the east side of the island.
Island Porcelain
Island Porcelain is a place where you can either buy wonderful hand painted porcelain pieces or paint them yourself. The porcelain is produced completely on the island, from start to finish, making it another completely unique Arran experience. The painting studio is located the main town of Brodick, so is on the Arran Coastal Way walk. Welcome to all ages, why not come and try something new?
