I do treks almost every year since 2005, i have seen all types of services some very good some less. Easyways is not one of the best and why:1. Payments are made in a way that you do not know exactly what you will get until after you pay, you get a general program and then refunds are not easyways. read the small letters!!2. In case of no accommodation, they offer a transport with bus or taxi to a different location. in our case taxi was delayed for a very long time ended in very late arrival to the gust house.3. In accurate place of the first luggage pickup

From planning our West Highland Way walk months ago to the very end, Easyways (especially Jackie) were exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient. Every stage of the walk went perfectly, even on the day our tired legs made us very late for meeting Ian the patient driver (please thank him, Jackie). We recommend Easyways unreservedly!

Easyways is the company you never knew you needed. They take care of all the stressful planning of your walking holiday. They offer a huge range of wonderful walking trails across Scotland. The company book all your accommodation with a range of bnbs with pure Scottish hospitality and some stunning hotels. They arrange for your luggage to the shifted from accommodation to accommodation so all you need to do is focus in your walk. They arrange any necessary transfers. They take out all the stress of planning popular tours like the West Highland Way. However if your have special requirements they are able to tailor tours to suit your needs. They can help you arrange for dogs/young children to travel with you based on accommodation that can host these requirements. Either fill in an enquiry form via thier website or send the team an email. Poor accommodatiin on the Moray Firth Walk. Failed to pick up my suitcase for our last day walking the Great Glen Way - didn't bother to speak to hotel staff despite picking up two suitcases every other day. Rang Easyways who just gave the mobile number for the driver. Neither got back to me. Accommodation away from the beginning and end of each day's walking - other walkers were in hotels etc without the extra walking. Hosts really rated but overall overpriced and let down by poor service when it was needed.

Together with a friend, I have undertaken numerous self-guided long distance walks over the past 10 years or so. We originally found Easyways through an internet search and are very pleased that we did so. The procedure is very straightforward - just select your itinerary and they do the rest for a reasonable fee. All accommodation, bag transfer etc. is arranged and a Tour Pack is sent out, with all the information, including how to find the accommodation, where to eat and drink and so on.We have been very happy with the standard of accommodation over the years. The staff at Easyways are great to deal with - friendly and helpful and the whole process is entirely painless. In a nutshell, we automatically turn to Easyways when considering a long walk - wouldn't go anywhere else!

How do I book my walking tour?

The best way to make a booking is to complete an EasyWays Enquiry Form and we will be in touch with you by return.

Alternatively, you can email your booking enquiry to info@easyways.com or telephone us on +44 (0) 1324 238293. We will be happy to assist with your telephone booking between the hours of 08:30 – 17:00 (Monday to Friday).

How far in advance do I have to book?

We recommend that you book as early as possible to ensure your first choice of dates and accommodation types. This is particularly important during the peak months of May and June when routes are busy and accommodation can be very limited at some stages.

It’s not uncommon for walkers to book tours on the most popular routes a year in advance.

What if my choice of accommodation isn’t available?

EasyWays will make every attempt to obtain your preferred choice of accommodation. However, in the unlikely event that all accommodation is fully booked, we will contact you with an alternative suggestion (for example a possible change of start date or a variation to the route).

How do I pay for my walk?

You can make payments to EasyWays by Credit or Debit Card using the on-line payment facility under ‘Pay’ in the ‘Book and Pay’ tab. We cannot currently accept payments by American Express or Diners Card. UK clients can also pay by Bank Transfer. You will find our bank details at the bottom of your invoice.

Can you arrange bag carrying services?

Yes. EasyWays has good long-standing relationships with many of the best bag transfer companies, who we know to be efficient and reliable.

This is an optional service but we think the walks are more enjoyable if you travel light and let someone else carry your bag. It also ensures your gear stays dry in any weather.

What if I have to cancel?

If for any reason you have to cancel your walk before the start date or mid-way through, EasyWays will take care of all cancellations on your behalf.

Please note that cancellation charges will apply. Read our terms and conditions for further details.

EasyWays strongly advises that you purchase travel insurance, to cover you in the event of cancellation, illness, baggage loss, etc.

Can EasyWays help me with a last-minute booking?

Sometimes it’s good to be impulsive and if you see that the weather’s just right and decide on a last-minute walking tour, we’ll do all that we can to arrange it for you.

Please note that due to limited availability of accommodation at some stages of the routes, you may not always receive your preferred type of accommodation. But if you’re willing to mix and match on hotels, guest houses and hostels, every effort will be made to make your walk possible.

A suggestion is to start your walk mid-week during busy times. A weekend start is most popular, so starting on a weekday may mean that more accommodation is available.

Will towels be provided in my accommodation?

Whether or not you’d like towels to be provided is something to consider when choosing the type of accommodation you want.

All hotels and B&Bs provide towels.

Most hostels and bunkhouses do not provide towels.

If you plan to take your own towel, it’s worth bearing in mind that after using it in the morning, you’ll be packing it into your bag damp and it will obviously still be damp when you reach your destination.

Will an evening meal be provided by my accommodation?

There are very few B&Bs that provide evening meals. Any that do will require you to confirm with them in advance that you wish to dine at the B&B.

Specific information for each accommodation establishment we book on your behalf will be included in the walk pack we’ll send you prior to your start date.
