The Gordon Castle Highland Games and Country Fair takes place at the end of this month in Fochabers. From the 20th to the 21st of May, join the people of Speyside and Moray to celebrate their Highland Games and Country Fair!

What’s going on?
On Saturday the 20th, the Country Fair will take place! This is the first time that Gordon Castle has extended the event, spreading it across 2 days. On Saturday the fair will focus on traditional dress, music and agriculture from pre-war (1900-1940s) Scotland. With a range of animal events and a completely new vintage village, the Saturday event will be raising money for Alzheimer Scotland.
On Sunday, the traditional Highland Games take place. Featuring highland dancing, pipers, a 3km run etc. After a bit of Scottish fun? After you walk the Speyside Way you will need a break! An ideal way to wind down in an idyllic countryside setting.
Where?
Gordon Castle is located in Fochabers, which is on the main Moray coastal route. The event is easily reachable by car, only a 9-mile drive from Elgin and 12 miles west of Keith, both of which have train stations! If you are walking the Speyside Way, it will be easy to reach the event from the route by local bus service or taxi!

Highland Military Tattoo – A taster performance from the Highland Military Tattoo is going to take place on the first day of the event. The main Highland Military Tattoo event takes place in September, but for The Gordon Castle Highland Games there will be a preview from RAF Lossiemouth, to enjoy!
Children’s Activities – The Gordon Castle Highland Games is perfect for a family day out. Children can take part in things like laser tag and racing!
Gordon Castle Bar – Don’t miss out on the range of food and drink on offer! The games’ fresh food options include everything from pizza to street food. Also, the Gordon Castle bar will be open serving Gordon Castle’s own gin, cider and ale.
