We were off to the islands on Friday to spend a long week-end walking and exploring the Inner Hebrides, this time with a final destination of Islay.  This beautiful island has much to offer in walking routes and has, of course, a large concentration of whisky distilleries that brings enthusiasts from across the world to see in person where their ‘dram’ originates.

Kildalton Cross

Port Mor

We enjoyed the walking out to the Kildalton Cross, Port Mor, Machir Bay Kilchoman, Carraig Fhada with it’s square shaped lighthouse and the Singing Sands of Traigh Bain.  The ferry crossings also add a bit extra fun to this type of tour and we were so lucky to enjoy some wonderful weather.
