What is there to do at the Osprey Centre?

Overlooking the osprey nest, the centre offers you a chance to get close to amazing Scottish wildlife! Ideal for children, there are a range of family activities and events that take place throughout the year. The staff are more than happy to tell you more about the wildlife and Abernethy forest. Where can I find it?

Located around 12 miles from Aviemore, Loch Garten is reachable by car. At the Osprey Centre there is a car park and disabled parking bays. Being push chair friendly and with group bookings available, why not get the whole family together? There is also a shop selling a range of wildlife books, videos and CDs.

What you should know!

A great environment for children to learn more about wildlife!

The Osprey Centre is open from 10am to 6pm from April to September. It costs £5 for Adults, £3 concessions and £2 for under 16s. A £10 family ticket is also available and RSPB and Wildlife Explorer members get to go for free!

A unique experience and it’s just a click of a button!

The Osprey nest at Loch Garten has an online webcam! After leaving the centre you can continue keeping up with the Ospreys online. The webcam has made the Ospreys world famous! They have returned from spending winter in Africa, Portugal or Spain to Loch Garten to spend the summer. The webcam is extremely popular and an amazing insight into their lives.
