Cycling

There are so many activities in Arran to enjoy. Due to Arran being so scenic, cycling is very popular on the Island. From the main town of Brodick it is easy to hire a bike. If you are on a cycling holiday and plan going around Arran by bike, there is advice available. Cycling on Arran is very fun, because of the interesting and varied terrain, however, it can be dangerous if you are not accustomed to the surroundings. There are many routes you can opt for at all different levels of difficulty. The Arran Bike Club can give you all the advice you will require.

Golf

The Isle of Arran is home to seven golf courses. All around Arran you can experience the beautiful views from the peaceful environment of a golf course. It is worthwhile to note that most are only open through the summer season.
All courses have good facilities, but they do vary. The Machrie Bay golf course is open to families and dogs all year round and does have a small putting green and tennis court. If you are walking the Arran Coastal Way route, there are many different water sports activities you can enjoy. The Island offers kayaking, windsurfing and is also home to the Arran Yacht Club. In Lamlash, Ocean Breeze Rib Tours offer wildlife and sightseeing tours around Arran, perfect for everyone to engage with the local environment and offers the opportunity to learn some new things. Arran Adventure offers sea kayaking for a range of groups depending on who you are taking part with! Again many of these services are season based.
