The Outer Hebrides — A West Highland Way Alternative
Last week we spent a wonderful time in The Outer Hebrides travelling south to north over the course of 9 days.
The islands offer an opportunity to walk and visit this remote area of Scotland where you can experience miles of white sandy beaches and aquamarine waters with no one else in sight.
Every day offered a new challenge of coastal or hill walking with magnificent views all around in a historic landscape dating by to neolithic times over 5000 years ago.
The Broch at Dun Carloway and Callanish Stones were the outdoor highlights supplemented by the Lewis Chessmen on display in Lews Castle in Stornoway.
EasyWays will be offering the Islands as a Self-Guided and Guided Walk in 2023 so for a those who crave isolation in contrast to the biz of the West Highland Way we would highly recommend this tour.
