History
If you are visiting Arran because of the history, Brodick Castle would be an ideal place to visit. The castle provides a sense of relaxation with the opportunity for a walk in the country park to observe wildlife. Boat tours around the island also offer the chance to see the stunning views on the water.
The Arran Heritage Museum, located just north of Brodick is also worth a visit. With exhibits displaying not only the physical history of the Isle of Arran, but also the social aspect. Many schools visit the museum, so they are welcoming to children; it is something to be enjoyed by everyone. By walking Scottish coastal walks you will come across history all the time!
