Urquhart Castle is a place with great history!

History of Urquhart Castle

A place with spectacular scenery, Urquhart Castle has over 1,000 years of history. The site dates back to medieval times and has played a role throughout many conflicts in Scottish history including the Wars of Scottish Independence and the Jacobite Rising. However, after being largely destroyed in the 17th century the castle fell into a state of disrepair and decay. The castle was given to the National Trust for Scotland in the 20th century and is now one of the most visited castles in all of Scotland
With our organisation and luggage service, you can take you time and explore this area of historical significance for however long you like!
