Cycling
If your family enjoy cycling, Fife is one of the best places to visit! There are a number of routes to bike along, including national cycling route number 1, called Coasts and Castles. This route heads north through Fife from Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy to St Andrew’s and across the Tay Bridge to Dundee. If you’re looking for something more child friendly, the Loch Leven Heritage Trail is ideal. Though this is a route just outside of Fife, in Kinross, it’s the perfect path for families with mixed abilities!
Water Sports
The Fife coastline is so popular for water sports and activities! One of the prettiest coastal locations in Fife is the East Neuk, in which there is one of the best outdoor activity centres. At the East Neuk Centre you can take part in a range of water sports from kayaking and canoeing to raft building. When it comes to beaches, the Elie Harbour Beach is picturesque and offers a lot of shelter, it also has a cafe, disabled access and lots of facilities.
